I tried to post on the request for free game, of course, being a free game vulture and all. :) But the 'new post' button is dark and when I click it I get a request to sign in or register. I'm already signed in. What can I do?

Are you talking about this thread? If so, I'd say clear your cache and log in again.

Are you sure you're signed in? As Telnet said clear your browser cache, and close your browser and open it back up. If the problem persists then try logging out and then in again. If still nothing workrs try voodoo perhaps?

Thanks for the link to the thread. I thought I should be able to post from the news page itself, but posting on that thread worked. (And of course I was logged in, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to post to the forum.) Perhaps clearing the cache would help, but since posting on that thread worked I'll save that solution for another day.
