Tarm: Don't tell me you have the same inferior complex against us as the Danes and the Norwegians. ;) For no reason I might add.
Yea, just that they're better doesn't make you any worse.

Wishbone: Inferiority complex? That's a laugh ;-p
Well if they do something better than us or win in a competition they're usually spiteful (I was looking for a less harsh word but didn't find one.).

That's the point. They do many things better than us but still they like to rub it in our faces from time to time.

Not that we're much better to tell the truth. Living in Scandinavia is like dealing with a couple of brothers that don't quite get along. :P
Very jealous!

I went from 15" to 22" and it was a huge leap, I hated 4:3 format and still do. 16:10 was awesome with 1680x1050 and it wasn't too demanding and I never needed AA. Then I made the mistake to 23.5" and the difference is quite low and performance hit took a turn even with a GPU upgrade.

I can't wait to get my hands on a 27" or even 30" in the future. :)

But, but, the Swedes are incredibly strong and could easily be one of the major powerhouses in Europe!

(I learned that from Paradox games.)

I prefer to think of it as "friendly rivalry" ;-)

Actually, I think the rivalry is more out of habit than any real ill feeling. True, you'll occasionally hear a Dane say something like "Bloody Swedes!", but I don't think they mean anything much by it.

It's just that, after hundreds of years of wars and invasions (in both directions), the mutual animosity has sort of grown into our respective languages. The fact that the wars and invasions were hundreds of years ago means little when it comes to linguistics and culture.

They were, as were we, at different periods in history.

Tarm: Since it was bad weather during my summer vacation that's now over, much worse Swedish summer weather than usual (That's saying something.) I didn't spend much of the money I saved for this summer so today I just drove to the nearest shopping centre and looked for a screen. Might as well buy something now when work have started again for some of it.

So I just got the one I thought looked best regarding price and it happened to be a ASUS VE278Q. :)
Cost me 2700:- Swedish Crowns. Don't know if it was a good price and don't care much either. I needed something nice to lift my spirits. :)

orcishgamer: I've no idea if that was a deal or not either, but if you're happy with it, that's all that counts:)
Thanks. :)

There's also the jokes Swedes and Norwegians make about each other.

I think it's because we have been such close neighbours for so long and have fought so much that we have learned respect for each others. We bicker but that's because none of us will concede to the other. Too much history as you say.
That (And us being way up north in nowhere. :P) have also made us open to cooperation between us regarding trade, business and other things so there might be something to none Scandinavians calling us practical.

Nonetheless I feel I need to tell about my personal Scandinavian gripe and that's about Danish drivers. I drive a lot and for some reason when there's a vehicle blocking me, often needlessly or just generally being in the way they usually have Danish plates. You guys are my personal hate object on the roads because you're always in the way for some strange reason. Or it's just the universe having fun with me.

Back to screens.
So far I haven't noticed any drop in visual in games, in fact games like Counter Strike: Source and Kohan 2 looks even better.
Scimming through YouTube though wasn't as fun. Man those standard videos look ugly! Pixels everywhere. :(
