Dont get RO2. The game have a lot of issues right now and it seems to get worst with every patch. I suggest you get RAGE or Deus EX.

Does any of the games I listed have mod support?
RO2 is suppose to have 3 big MODs in the work. I have already seen a very nice mod for Deus Ex that removes the gold color filter. Dead Island not so much and the other arent out yet but i assume Rage will be mod friendly since its ID.

Dead Island. It's a great game, and I haven't seen any big bugs yet. Small glitches here and there, but nothing game breaking. I suggest that you get the game :)

Thanks, but last few questions before I will decide...Does it have mod support? Does it seem like developers will support the game? Will it get repetive after while or is it same as Borderlands? (I finished borderlands multipler times without getting bored)
my opinion:

DX3

Dead Island.

and since dx3 is more intellectual and made with more love, i'd personally support the dx3 devs than the devs of yet another zombie gore fest. i own both though ;P i found borderlands to be very repetitive and kinda boring, dead island isnt boring to me at all, but i play it in LAN with my brother, that always makes it more exciting.

Hm...well I guess I will have to scramble every penny I have and simply buy both :D
Okay scrambling every penny didnt work, I decided to put away DX3 for now (didnt finish first one and I will buy DX3 when I will finish first DX) so now its between RO2 and Dead Island, I will go away for 30-60 min and then I will decide, please send some last minute opinions :)

well, you keep mentioning RO2 even though most of the people suggests either Dead Island or Deus Ex 3, so I guess your subconsciousness has already decided :D

I am mentioning it mainly because one of my friends is willing to buy anything I will and second wants only RO2 so I am mentioning it for his sake :D

Ash360: I beleave it was only those in America that ended up with the advertisements.
avatar
Navagon: I haven't even heard of an American getting hit with them. All I've seen is a screencap that's been circulating the gaming blogs and some code in the game that suggests it's possible. People actually getting hit with ads? None that I've heard about.
avatar
FraterPerdurabo: Have you tried it? Does it help?
avatar
Navagon: Hey, thanks! I'll give it a go. My only real grievance is the occasional really stupid death and the game subsequently stealing cash from me to resurrect me. It's like I'm getting trolled by the damn game.

For instance, I kicked a beach ball into a pool - instant death. Cash stolen. Resurrected. Avoided beach balls in future. More dangerous than a pack of zombies, those.

If it were possible to remove the cash thieving tendencies of the game then I think I'd enjoy it a lot more. But I like to test the limits of what's possible in games. Even if it means the occasional death. I don't particularly like the idea of being bankrupted though so it's kind of reigned me in a bit.
Let me know how it works! Would like to give it a go as well but I'm out of the country for a while.
I didn't play much but I didn't really find an use for cash, mainly because I didn't use the menus (due to the piss poor sensitivity thing, I vented about it in the other thread).

Would like to give the game a proper go.

Also, how do you guys kill thugs? I ended up just throwing stuff at them, picking them up again and repeating...

I'll go for Rage or Stalingrad
In the end (mainly because of you guys and my friends) I went with Dead Island, thanks everybody for help.
