Gay doesn't mean retarded it means "happy, carefree, free-spirited, jolly"
Also we don't use the word retarded anymore. It used to mean someone mentally disabled. It doesn't anymore.

This guy's only 15, by the way, so try to cut him a bit of slack. He's not a bad person and he's not stupid, he's just... 15.

Not to play devil's advocate here, but why are you all picking on him just because of his poor jargon choices
You're assuming that my problem was with his choice of slang, it wasn't so much that but his aside that those who would take offence to it were the "immature" ones, that's not a problem of poor vocabulary but something entirely different.
And his age is certainly no excuse. There are plenty of children who are of the same age or younger who can conduct themselves in a manner that doesn't offend.

Oh, definitely - but the unflappable self-righteousness is distinctly adolescent, and it is a HUGE wall to get past. My point isn't so much that we should give him a free pass for anything he says, it's more that we should realise we're not going to be able to debate him successfully. Empathy is still developing that age, and "everybody else is stupid" becomes a useful and common explanation for most hardships. You saw how often he's called other people 'immature' already - and I'll guarantee you that he genuinely believes it.

Well, on a technical term here, I never said I though anyone here was stupid and I was right. I even apologized for some of my actions. And yes, empathy is STILL growing on me, but I will say I can see other people's views and emotion. You can't tell an emotion from plain black text though.
