keeveek: Yep, rights are in Japan. Some CRAZY Wizardry games are made on NDS or PSP or whatever...

Guess what... they adapted wizardry world to look more like manga ;_;

Trebor is Cast Smite!
The Japanese Remake of 1-3 (Wizardry: Story of Llylgamyn - SNES, 1999) is great fun. I am currently playing through it on my PSP with a SNES Emulator and the English Patch. Love the new mob graphics, wall textures, and Map / Teleport Functions.

ycl260779: Trebor is Cast Smite!
This makes me so sad.

No western franchise deserves Japanese high-fantasy.
I believe it's amateur translation, because games are avaible only in Japan , only in Japanese, afaik.

But yeah, making an anime out of Wizardry franchise.. It's sad. They could make any game like that, but they HAD TO name them after Wizardry... eh..

deathknight1728: Im sorry but Ive played all the rpgs currently that allow one to create a party. Everywhere I go, someone says you should try the wizardry series #8 if your into that. Well isnt that too bad as that game series is the only gog that isnt here.

DCT: Wizardry is one of those games or series that is a bit tricky, from my understanding Robert Woodhead or was it Andrew Greenberg are owed royalities and the IP is currently owned by a Japanese company who's only intrest is milking the name and legacy of the series in Japan.
Sounds like Ubisoft, they practically ruined the Might and Magic brand.
