Well, for proper new releases they actually give a release date. Not that it helps in this case ;-).
It looks like it's going to be a while. I heard that they're having problems with it.

I need to squish pedestrians soonish than "now". Also i never had the Splat Pack back in the day so it will be something new for me.

For those that had it: What was it like? What does it add?
sadly they hit a snag during testing as from what I recall from a interveiw TET did that the game ended up having some issues on two of their test machines and it tends to be GOG's policy that they don't release a game unless it runs on all their machines

Yeah well, that usually doesn't happen until they're pretty close to releasing it. Or at least have set a date. I think they're still fixing whatever problems there are with compatibility at this point.

Also, IIRC this release is going to include 3DFX emulation which they haven't really done yet and as such it may take longer than it would otherwise take as they have to get that working rather than just software rendering.

Actually they already have done that, Tomb Raider 1 uses a Dosbox SVN and a 3dfx wrapper.

Hmm, good to know, I didn't realize that they had any titles using the 3DFX emulation at this point. I'm guessing over time that the number will probably improve as some games like i76 seem to need a different rendering engine anyways.

Well I was just counting the ones that use 3dfx emulation and Dosbox which Carmaggeddon will do since if I recall the dos version used 3dfx but it's been years so I could be wrong on that. But Pandemonium! also uses 3dfx emulation via Nglide as does Ultima IX

There's definitely a 3DFX version available, I think it was a later patch. Don't know if the game ever had any other rendering options though.
