I bought wizardry 8 and ran the installer. i can find the executable, but where does the game get installed?

Usually C:\GOG Games
Their shortcuts are found in Start Menu->All Programs->GOG

Depends on the installer, it's kind of confusing. If a GOG installer is version 1.X.X (older installer, but some games still use them), they go to C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com. If it's 2.X.X (newer installer), they go to C:\GOG Games.

And if you go into "Options" in the installer, it installs the game anywhere you damn well please, except that many of the newer installers refuse to install to a path containing a ".", e.g. "C:\Games\GOG.com".

I'll add that some games are (or were) installed in \Program Files\GOGcom (without the dot).
