Yeah all the catalogue is owned by a Japanese company.

GOG should take it up to them to approach them and propose a partnership.

It would be like free money for them. These games are too antiquated for them to make them any more money otherwise.

Make three packs: Wiz 1+2+3+4+5
Wiz 6+7
Wiz 8

I'd buy all of them in a heartbeat.

(SUBTLE MESSAGE TO THE STAFF BROWSING)

Honestly the DOS versions are inferior, because they have very limited color palettes, and because the NES versions have excellent music that really nail the atmosphere perfectly. But oh well, we'll take what we can.

somberfox: I believe a company in Japan acquired the rights to Wizardry after Sir-Tech went down, and as far as I know they make Wizardry games exclusively for consoles, and none of them are released outside Japan. I can imagine it will take some work to get the series on GoG.
Japan seem to be pretty anti-PC as a gaming platform. That definitely goes for digital distribution. In fact, as a nation, they're the biggest hurdle GOG faces in its quest for global distribution rights.
They're right here.
