Did anyone actually like those games? I remember that every time a new one came out, it got awful reviews, and I'd wonder how a series nobody seemed to like kept going.

(Well yes, the thread exists, so obviously someone liked them, but I don't get the impression that that's very universal.)

All the Army Men game in a cheap bundle. I would buy it probably just for nostalgia.

I liked them but as previously posted they did get old. Some of the offshoots like "Sarge's Heroes" would have been classics if it wasn't for the shit save system: there was none! You had this HUGE level, one life, and NO checkpoints!

RTS is a great looking and great sounding game it's just too short.

I would too, they were not that good but when I was a kid I lost a decent amount of hours playing them.
I google army men gog every now and then hoping for good news, guess I'll keep hoping.
What is this talk of Army Men RTS???

I thought they were all real time strategies. Maybe I'm misremembering (I had the first one and second one) but I thought I remember playing them and they were both real time strategies. I remember commanding several men, giving them orders, the orders being carried out in real time.... WTF??? Is that not RTS???

I think the distinction is made due to resource gathering and base building which I don't recall having to do in the earlier Army Men games. The earlier games are more precisely defined as real-time tactics like Commandos and Desperados, I guess.
I found the original Army Men in a charity shop not long ago. It's aged better than I would of thought.
Did Ubisoft acquire the Army Men franchise? The have Army Men & Army Men 2 in the product list for support on the Uplay site
wait not so fast, first they have to get air force nad navy men!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
