Mine would have to be 'This War of Mine'.
I know, it's not quite here yet but I just can't say no to it.
The main attraction for me is permadeath and survival. There aren't a great deal of games that truly encompass the survival concept, even though they claim to do so. Don't Starve was probably the last game I felt that properly incorporated 'survival'.
Runners up: xenonauts, Distant Worlds: Universe, Infested Planet and Door Kickers in no particular order.
So tell me, what's your Game of the Year this year? Something from your favourite genre, or perhaps an outsider that you couldn't take your eyes off?
