It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Looks like they're trying to make a true Shadowrun video game this time. I'm certainly going to keep an eye on this one. :)

Awesome! You and me both, bruttah. I've been waiting for a long time for someone to actually do a Shadowrun game proper justice. Hopefully this turns out good. :D
Online only = fuck off.
Ugh. I was thinking a single player game, not on MMO. Guess I shoulda clicked the link before I gushed. =\

Still though, having so many people involved from the PnP version might not be a bad thing.

Pretty much sums it up for me too. Just another disposable cash-grab game. Never been interested in MMOs.
Actually, it's a browser game (so obviously online only) with a F2P model.
It's developed by the same guys who develop JA:O who seem ok, at least from my interaction with them at the Bear's Pit.
Unsure of what they'll do with the shadowrun setting, but the JA community has high hopes for their JA game.
Online only? No thanks.

F2P? FUCKING NO.

Free to play has been done well recently, like League of Legends and the soon to come Ghost Recon Online. With excellent use of F2P model. Doesn't sound so bad to me. :/

EDIT: Oh. Online only. Hmm... /wipes-his-mouth-and-stops

Tribes looks like it's going to use the same system as League of Legends. Rotating free loadouts and everything that has a mechanical difference can be purchased with in game currency. With only cosmetic differences "requiring" real money.

It works for some online games if done correctly, sure. The core thing here is that this should not be an online game.
