It means a few things.
At one point certain threads started accumulating too many leechers. Someone would post a code and seconds later its redeemed. Whether it was a bot or someone just spending all day watching these threads. It was also suspected that some of these people were also asking for codes then retrading them in our own Classified thread or even in Steam trading groups.
The codes weren't going to Goglodytes like us, but to others who through friend of friends heard how easy it was to get free codes from GoG.
MAHAYO was the counter to that. By making people actually PM you for codes (Make a Human Answer You) one could tell who was getting the codes, whether they were getting retraded in the classifieds, but better yet, it prevented anonymous people from sitting in threads, typing fast and redeeming every code under the sun.
Since this started, the quick code drop threads have become nicer places and this seems to be because of MAHAYO. Just by having gifters (God Bless Their Souls) take a small step like asking to be PM'd instead of just dropping codes in the open, the griefers now have to search elsewhere for low-hanging fruit (maybe in Steam forums instead)
