or maybe an example of how kickstarter actually works? this will never reach the goal, and therefore not get funded. Only good projects, or viable projects, will be successful.

I've heard that the turn based, strategy RPG The banner Saga will be starting a kickstarter on Monday, it looks interesting and absolutely gorgeous

Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective Adventure Mysteries
Another old-school dev bringing back some point'n'click nostalgia, David Marsh has obtained the rights to the old ICOM adventures (like Shadowgate, Deja Vu, Uninvited). Apparently the plan is to port them to mobiles, and he's starting with the FMV Sherlock Holmes games.
You get all 9 games for PC/MAC DRM-free. They're going back to the uncompressed footage to make the FMV high quality, and if there's enough funding, they're going to make some new episodes.

That Sherlock Holmes project looks interesting, but I hate it when they don't fully detail where the money is going.
