Tsunami: I was thinking along the lines of failing to validate. Give a +1. And then a -1 and change that to another +1. Repeat as necessary.

wpegg: Fair plan then. So you mean rather than creating an exploit, he's exaggerating the current exploit to extreme. I can buy that - nice thinking.

EDIT: - I'll test it tomorrow.
It seems to be something else. I just tried it, and it didn't work.

I'm pretty sure the guy isn't creating 50 accounts and -1ing all his posts to achieve the -666 (he's at -665 currently - someone must have +1ed him) .... that would be sad. So it seems like some exploit is possible.

So sure? Just created the account NegRepGuy in a totally automatable way (i didn't automate it, but could). So that could easily be the "attack vector" though more appropriately referred to as the idiot developer vector.

bossonova: hi i am a new user with a -2 rating. what does that mean and how do i get it into the positive hundreds like i see with other users in the forum? also what do the stars mean that are by the rep points?
Rep exists for the sole purpose of making me look impressive. Ralackk and Namur might look like they have higher rep than me but they're explained away as statistical error, they're not actually real, just a math error.

Lol you're right. No CAPTCHA, confirmation via email, credit card information, etc. required to signup. It's probably intentional as they don't want anything in place that would discourage people from signing up.

DrIstvaan: See? This question has brought you to 10 rep points.

Vitek: Interesting, he had only 5 rep few minutes before your post.
I think that the more +reps any single post has, the more points one more + earns its writer.
