aluinie: The revamp of the wishlist is what i would like to see the most then the next batch of EA games

SimonG: What is all the fuzz with the whishlist? I think the GOG staff pretty much knows which games we want by now. And they wont give us any insight on what will be published next or what is already in the pipeline. So what is the bonus on having a new wishlist?

Unless they make a huge button on the front page, people will still come here and request that some science fiction shooter game with the female AI nobody heard of.

Edit: Hehe, "witchlist" must have been a freudian typo ...
GoG won't update the wishlist likely for a long while - the only time they may update it would be if they had a various number of opportunities to approach new publishers and wanted a feel for which ones would be best to approach first (which I get the feeling was the whole purpose of the wishlist before).

GoG is already in talks with several major publishers and has a decent number of games and game content under existing signed publishers to work on - plus its a small team. So a wishlist of wants at present really serves little purpose for them since they can't act upon it; officially adding it to their main pages might also confuse people and get negative feedback if they are seen not to be signing and releasing games with high vote counts in the wishlist.

Asides which everyone knows that forum stickies and official things are never ever visible to people - being made official/sticky instantly cloaks them to all but the most grizzled and experienced of members ;)

SLP2000: There's CDPRed conference planned on 17th of November. There should be GOG part then.

IIRC, there were very close to sign another publisher, but something happened. Now, my bet is that it's THQ, but the problem appeared with The Witcher 2, and it was tied transaction.

But long time ago they told us there are two publishers close to be signed.

And they promised us a new wishlist.
Huh. That's on Thursday. Well, let's see what's gonna happen there.

Personally, I am more interested in GOG's plans for the upcoming holiday season (a new batch of EA games? The new publisher maybe? A store-wide christmas sale?)

Austrobogulator: Hopefully they are working on getting that one game .
Yeah, it's a really good game that one.

Back in my day, before political correctness, we called it a true Irishman's ale test.

You can go roughly a zillion miles per hour thanks to special hyperspace machinery, and enter and exit through buildings thanks to a wormhole creation device, and...

You forget that wishlist is also for community, just like gogmixes. Who wouldn't want to vote for their favourite game of youth, that's still not on gog?

I'd definitely like that.
