Hmm, the last time I see about Pimpmonkey, it was as I replied to him at the "you are banned" forum game thread, quite a while ago. I hope he's well, and just taking some vacations.

If you are immovable on your beliefs and thoughts, which no person is(change is a constant), then you will end up alone as people will not wish to converse with you. The arrogance of "I'm always right" is one that I shared, and continue to spend considerable time and energy changing, as life has taught me otherwise. No one being can "know it all" and knowledge changes. Hopefully life teaches you that "you are always right(for yourself, not others)" as I have found it be a valuable lesson. Then again, this is just reflections on my own journey, so best of luck with yours :)
Edit: back to the thread topic, it would be lovely timing for Pimpmonkey to insert his humour into this thread with a surprise appearance :)
monkeydelarge: I'm only immovable on my beliefs when it comes to what is right and wrong. And it's not due to arrogance. When it comes to everything else, I'm always open to accept a position that is not originally mine but not when it comes to what is right and wrong..what is good and what is evil. For me, it is as easy to see as day and night. If I look out and see the sun shining and someone tells me, it's night time and that is the moon shining, I'm going to be immovable with this person. I'm not going to accept what that person says. If that means I will be alone, most of my life, so be it. Being alone is better than living a life in darkness and being surrounded by people who would back stab you for a mere night's pleasure. And I'm probably one of the most humble people in this forum. These past 7 years, I've been through a lot of experiences that have humbled me. Experiences that destroyed the over inflated image of myself I had in my early 20s and left me on the floor, crying like a baby. You can have some beliefs that are etched into stone for you without being an arrogant person. For example, Christians, Muslims and Jews have some beliefs that are immovable but not all of them are arrogant people.
I like that, as a fellow Christian. Relativism with right and wrong is our century's worst enemy, friend.. I, too, have zero tolerance with this kind of confusion. That is not being arrogant, that is being strong headed. Unbelievers while free to go their own ways, still have not a single right to just one step in changing what is written for believers, or "let them be accursed".. Amen.
