Zchinque: Making sweeping generalizations isn't necessarily all that great either. Most Norwegians that I know may not be quite fluent in English, but they are certainly capable of making themselves understood.
Damuna: That wasn't a sweeping generalisation. I was not saying that people from Norway cannot speak English - I was saying that given that the OP is from Norway, treating them as though English was their native language and judging them as if they were fluent is inappropriate, especially given that their post demonstrates some quite broken English. Please try to be less sensitive.

I am sorry, I misread your post. I thought your use of "they" was in the plural. referring to people from Norway in general, not an indefinite singular. Of course, in context, this makes me look twice as silly.
And it was not my intention to jump on you at all. I was trying to make a snarky, yet in my mind humorous, comment to what I mistakenly read as a generalization. Obviously, it did not work as intended. ;)
I'm sorry that I came across more harshly than intended, in particular since the basis for it was my own faulty understanding of the English language.
