Jaime: Yeah, I can't do the fancier combo stuff either. And I find it super hard to decide within a fraction of a second which of all the complex moves at my disposal is the most advantageous at the moment.

Still very much enjoy Street Fighter against the computer or other casuals, though.

QC: I can't play Street Fighter against the computer very well actually. Most of the time the game devolves into me hitting whatever I can and winding up with one punch, 3 kicks, one lucky move and 40 sparastic jumps.

Honestly, Street Fighter is meant for those who played from the beginning it seems like. I can't figure out nearly any combo despite experience with easily 800 games I've played in my life. The game is not friendly at all for new gamers. Maybe they should make it easier, or if they insist on the goofy controls they should put out a damn tutorial, PLUS exlaining what the buttons actually do.
The internet has all the tutorials we need go look at Tom Brady's guide for Mortal Kombat 2011 if you like
Are you a tournament chapion pro guy who can parry the shit out of Chun-Li's ultra moves? If not, then this really shouldn't worry you that much. Mortal Kombat is accessible and that game is fantastic. Killer Instinct gives you 60 hit combos with like four button presses and everyone loves that. Hell, Power Stone doesn't get any more complex than "grab the fucking gems" and people are still crying for a proper sequel.

Everything will be fine.

I know, I'm just being facetious. He probably gets it all the time.

That new MK game is brilliant, BTW.

OmegaX: Well, Nintendo already beat them to that. It's called Super Smash Bros. and it is awesome.
Sure, it isn't a pro-gaming competition game unless you ban items and most stages but who cares? The game is fun.
I'm all for better tutorials in complex fighting games. Killer Instinct had very simple rules for making combos while in Street Fighter those rules are never explained.
