Also tell him that it's okay to come back. He overreacted, but I'd guess that most here aren't going to hold it against him. At some time or another, just about everyone overreacts, believes or does or says something foolish, acts like an asshole, etc. We're all human. Further, it's not as if most here actually approve of Licurg's comments to him. Rather, most just seem to prefer a more mature solution (ignore him; you're under no obligation to respond to or even read his posts even if they're addressed directly to you... the most effective slight can be simply refusing to give someone any attention whatsoever). There's no reason to think that he can't continue to enjoy and be a part of the forums here or that anyone wants him to leave or will treat him like a pariah (and if they do, screw 'em... they need to remember that they're human, too). Tell him to relax a bit, learn to let the bullshit slide right off without mucking up his day, and come back when he's ready.

It's weird why there wasn't lot of hype for Urban Chaos back then. The game is quality, with interesting concept and plot except for clunky control which is probably a norm for 3rd person title at the time. I guess since there were lot of quality action title late in 90's, Urban Chaos somewhat lost in the mix.

I do remember quite a lot of preview excitement in the German gaming mags. I guess its commercial failure (it did bomb, didn't it?) is what led to it being largely forgotten.

tinyE: If I may jump in for a sec. I've been a TR junkie from day one and played them all up to underworld dozens and dozens and dozens of times. Take the following link and bookmark it. Regardless of if you feel you do or do not need it right now, it is THE BEST TR site on the planet offering every possible patch, walkthrough, bonus, yadda yadda yadda known. It also gives a tidy review of the entire series. Like 011284 said, play them in order, but I would only recommend skipping AOD if you DID NOT adore the others. By this I mean that its got some nasty rough spots and some control issues that a TR freak like myself can overlook but not so much just a casual fan.

Hmm, I just read this nice review of Urban Chaos:

It seems to be another hidden gem, at least for me. I don't recall the game but it looks pretty fun. GOG keeps tempting me. They never seem to run out of ways to do this.

Speaking of being tempted, I am still tempted to pick up Soul Reaver 2 even though I own it for PS2.

Yup it's a good game. A lite version of GTA + True Crime: LA. Very good considering the technology at at that time. Oh, and plenty of random event too when you roaming around the city.

Ever play Gangsters? Feedback on that seems mixed but it looks interesting to me.

But beware of the control though, it's keyboard only with no mouse support at all. Also, your gamepad might make your character uncontrollable, especially the modern one like 360 and you can't disable it. Have to unplug it on each session.

Regarding Gangsters, i'm sorry i have no experience with the game. But seems like it's one of very few title that deserve the name "Gangsters" on it's cover. Many people still rank the game better than Omerta.

Urban Chaos is a lot of fun BUT it has A LOT of timed stuff in it which some people (myself) totally suck at. I bought it years and years ago and still still enjoy it but while some reviews liken it to a "Tomb Raider" offshoot, it has none of the pleasent meandering walks of TR. It's all get in, get the bad giys, get back to HQ!!!

and ummmm, I hated Gangters, and I don't mean just a little. I really hated it. I seem to be in the vast minority here but just in case you get it and don't like it you won't feel so alone. :)

Hmm, well I think I will save my money then for surer bets. I did pickup Startopia this sale. I think I will let that be enough after all. There are other games on my wish list I will wait for sales on instead. Thanks for the helpful info.

Soul Reaver (Millenia at least later)
Soul Reaver 2
Defiance

A Century after events of Blood Omen 2 Kain uses the corrupt Pillars of Nosgoth as the seat of his new empire with refusing to sacrifice / martyr himself and restoring the balance to Nosgoth and he raises his 6 Vampire Lietenants including Raziel.

A Millenium later Raziel evolves and surpasses his creator, for his transgression he is punished and cast into the Abyss

Centuries later Raziel is resurected by an Elder God

So starts the events of Soul Reaver which then immediately follows on with Soul Reaver 2 and finally you have it all tie in together with both characters in Deiance.

Yes but the events of Blood Omen 2 only happened after the events Soul Reaver 2 altered the timeline.

So technically it's BO 1->SR1->SR2->BO2->Defiance
