Pid, Strike Suit Zero, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, Trine, La Mulana, and more indie titles 60% off!

In the golden age of classic PC gaming there was very little limit to developers creativity when it came to action games. Each new title could introduce new ideas, gameplay models, technical advancements, and aesthetic choices. Nowadays the progress slowed down almost to a full stop, and the diversity toned down by far. New action games developed by large studios follow same patterns and rarely experiment with their identity. Even the best and most elaborate titles rarely divert from the popular choices. Are we really doomed to buy the same games over, and over again? Indies to the rescue! Modern independent developers present the same amount of sheer unlimited creativity as their predecessors in the 1980s and 1990s. Even when drawing from the classics, their games present the same enthusiasm and imagination as the titles many of us grew up with. That's why today, we're proud to present you with our Indie Action promo. You can get 12 indie titles, each of them original and fresh in its own way, with a 60% off discount!

Say, maybe you're missing the excitement of deep space combat? Don't miss your chance to take the steers of Strike Suit Zero, for only $7.99. Nobody wants to buy Strike Suit Zero here when it's incomplete and Steam offers all of the content (including the DLC, which is not here) at a much better price

Meh :-(
You really like indies dont you GoG ;).
Nice promo but not buying any more games for a long time.
Now this is what I call a nice promo.
I don't think I'll be getting anything (no income after all), but it's a nice promo.

Indies is the only thing GOG likes, apparently GOG hates AAA titles, you know, the games people want to see here the most
I can recommend Puddle. Perhaps as a physicist I'm a bit biased but on the other hand fluid mechanics and dynamics are my least favorite disciplines and yet I had a blast when I was playing the game! At the beginning I thought that the game would be boring and repetitive. I was really surprised to see so many different ideas. There are so many objectives and fluid properties in the game that even levels within the same "world" are significantly different. Summary: I didn't expect much and it turned out to be one of the most entertaining games.

I have a question about La Mulana. How frustrating is this game? Is it often that you have no idea where to continue so you have to backtrack a lot and then it turns out that some region is now open? Could you also give your general feeling about the game? It would be good if you can compare it to unEpic because I've finished and enjoyed this game not so long ago.
Is Symphony hard core? Or is it more casual; when you feel like listening to the good music and play something to entertain yourself?

Not speaking for everyone at GOG as this is something subjective, but I like a lot of indies due to the fact that they remind me of a time when games focused on fun and interesting ideas. Also, remember the Ultima series could be considered "indie" back when Richard Garriot was selling diskettes in ziplock baggies :D
No Rogue Legacy :(( That makes me sad. It's probably too new a game to be already included in a promo.

I haven't played the game myself, but from what I've read and seen, it can be incredibly frustrating. You have to be very observant, make personal notes and have good patience, from what I understand.

Im not sure its 'incomplete'. Your almost never going to get the soundtrack included with new games on GOG (see all the ones with 'samples') sadly. The DLC is arguably not needed to get the full experience ( one ship, a set of missions, a high score mode). Backers had to donate more to receive DLC at high tiers. The base game + DLC is $40 (it was $10 during Steams usual sale). I wouldn't say that's a good price considering the base game has been discounted a lot the last month or so. The issue i have is GOG still hasn't said anything about the DLC side of things and this has been ongoing since its launch....
I have all these games from GOG already (and like some of them quite a bit).

GOG could rectify the situation by releasing Trine 2, then I'd have something more to buy. And while you are at it, Torchlight 2 and Sacred 2 Gold would be nice too.

"No, please don't offer me a wider variety of titles."
