Arcanum, Gabriel Knight, Zeus+Poseidon, Quest for Glory, and many more Activision classics 60% off!

As the weekend draws near, it's time to reveal the next exciting promo on GOG.com. So here I am, shouting from the top of my lungs: Attention: Activision!. Here's a superb collection of 32 memorable titles. Oh, wait... that's wrong. What I meant was: 32 game boxes. Some of them contain more than just one game, so the actual number of titles in the Attention: Activision! promo amounts to over 50! You can get them all 60% off until Tuesday, September 2, at 3:59AM GMT. Let's take a peek into some of the boxes!

Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magic Obscura summons the spirit of classic isometric RPGs into a unique world where steampunk meets fantasy in a creative mixture of imagination, weird fiction adventure, and role-playing freedom. Gabriel Knight, a tormented young writter, came to be a celebrity of the point-and-click adventure genre. The first game he stars in--subtitled "Sins of the Fathers"--features beautiful pixel-art graphics, over 7000 lines of fully-voiced dialog, and a dark story balancing on the verge of madness and occult. That's just the beginning of Gabriel's saga. Quest for Glory 1-5 is an amazing collection of Sierra's innovative action-RPGs. Each of the five games can be played as a whole but you can also treat the series as one big adventure, as the character and his accumulated wealth can carry on from one game into another. Experience the game that set many standards in the "new school" of computer RPG!

Those excellent games are but a tip of the iceberg of Activision-licenced awesomeness. There are dozens of other fantastic titles you can grab 60% off, so head out to Activision catalog page and go nuts! The promo lasts until Tuesday, September 2, at 3:59AM GMT, so don't miss out!

Seriously GOG, you couldn't be bothered with creating a proper promo page? It's not like this is the first time an entire publisher's catalogue has been put on sale.

Furthermore, if this is the sign of things to come I shudder to think how you'll "innovate" in the future. Just bring TET back to clean out this mess, will you?

And for Christ's sake, don't make owned games appear grey on a grey background.

The sales list is really oversized and not really transparent. Now I have to scroll down a lot and look all over the webpage to see which games are on sale and how much they cost and obviously the discount amount. Also the bar with the game that I own needs to be some other colour - this light gray is barely noticable on a light grey background. Obviously im watching this from the list display - had to shut down the ugly Metro tile design list. Give us the old webpage back it was better designed.

Edit: Since somebody mentioned it I checked again and finally you implemented one new feature - that is the discount amount is now visible for each game. Since this is normal to me from seeing it on other digital stores I did not notice it as something special before. Thanks for that a lot and more promised features please.

Personally I think that this webiste relaunch is a bigger disaster then the regional pricing shit ever was.

asb: Is it just me, or is there no indication on the catalog page of which games you already own?

rodrolliv: The text of the titles you own should be slightly gray, instead of black. Yes, that's the indication: gray text. :/
I don't know why, but this really makes me not want to buy anything in the promo.
"Uninviting" is the word, I guess?
Please just put the "owned" back there instead of the price. Annoying since I own half of the games in this promo.

Otherwise, that's a crapload of awesome adventure games.

Is this how promos are going to display in the future? Me no happy with that.

I was going to complain about not telling which games to own, but I realized on time it's on a slightly lighter grey. So I'll complain about the greyness instead.

Edit: I do like the info of the discount amount per game on the promo page, it should make it a lot easier to figure out on those "up to 80%" promos with several 50% ones mixed in. Credit where credit is due.

THIS. If I hadn't read the forum I wouldn't have noticed the difference between owned titles and the others. People have made a lot of jokes about "50 shades of grey" on GOG in the last two days, but here we have not even 2 shades, barely 1.5!
I dunno, make the titles of owned games blue, or something.

Oh that's true, they are lighter. Still it's not clear enough though.
Really, this promo demonstrates, that your relaunch is fubar.

I have trouble sorting out which games I already own from the promo and what not, I have to open my library page to compare instead of "hmm ... do I already own this very softly grayed out game or not? wait! whats this game in black?"

For the love of god, please fix the website as already discussed in the launch thread... at the very LEAST, replace the price with the good old "GAME ALREADY OWNED".

rodrolliv: Yeah, now that you mention it, when was the last time we got a new addition from Activision?
Spycraft: The Great Game in October 2012.
Addition: Why is there a "Betrayal at Krondor Pack" and both included games listed as three entries .. instead of umh one?

This. I really liked that the promo pages differed from the regular store view. I think the list view was far more practical for promos. And most importantly I could easily tell which games I already own. :P Also, I miss the "nice, you already own all games from this promo" message. :P

The Betrayal at Krondor pack containes Betrayal in Antara and Betrayal at Krondor. Then there's Return to Krondor, so I guess that makes three games. They only appear as two entries in my browser, though.
Riddle me this, which games do i already own?
I though it was a script, but i checked with IE and there's no difference. Do i need an LCD or some special glasses DLC to see?

I'm also not happy with the way promos are displayed now. It's hard to see which games you already own.

And i think i already have all the good games from this promo except for Interstate '82 which i might grab.
In addition to the slightly lighter shade of grey text making it near impossible to tell which you already own there is also no indication of which games are on your wishlist. Bring back the little heart!
