I don't know if "we-go" is the accepted term, but what I'm looking for is turn-based games where each player issues orders during his turn, and when all players are done the action unfolds for all players' units simultaneously, with each unit trying to carry out the given orders.
I have seen this in some board games, and a single PC game, but I'd like to know if there are any such games available on GOG? I find this play mode to be very interesting because it allows you to think carefuly about your moves when necessary, but introduces a large element of unpredictability in what your moves are actually going to accomplish.
Would the single PC game be Frozen Synapse? If not I think you'd like that one. There's a demo.

It's just a shame that you missed out on the pay what you want deal.
Actually, I was thinking of the Combat Mission series. I'll check out Frozen Synapse, though, thanks for the tip!
Lord of the realms 1 + 2. dont bother with 3
I second the Frozen Synapse suggestion.

About the games on GOG, I'm not sure. Maybe Age of Wonders has that as an option, but I don't know if it's just for the strategic map or also for the tactical battles.

Tecnically the wego/phased-based/concurrent-turn-based combat is used in the wizardry series (sadly not on GOG) and some of its legacy (like Bard's Tale).

Yes, AoW games have the simultaneous turns.
Space Rangers 2, and probably SR1, has a sort of we-go system. This one is done in a way that makes it feel a bit like a real-time game, wherein you can set basic flight orders that may span several "turns", but then plays fluidly like real time and also lets you queue an interruption for the end of the current turn.

Wow - my explanation really sucked.
OK, thanks for the replies. I just bought AoW, but I don't see much we-go in it. Still good fun, though.
