Dralel: Developed and published in Japan by Acquire and Spike Chunsoft, Way of the Samurai 4 is part of the million+ selling Way of the Samurai series. The series has seen sequels (and even a prequel) released on numerous consoles, including PSP, PS3 and Xbox 360, but to date none of the games have ever been released on PC. Considering that Way of the Samurai 4 has so far been exclusive to PS3, we’re obviously delighted to be working alongside both Acquire and Spike Chunsoft in creating the first ever transition to PC of such a popular series!
One of my all time favourite games, in one of my all time favourite settings, a PS3 exclusive game and former console franchise now heading to PC! This is a dream come true for me, I mean, I have dreamt about how amazing this game would be in 1080p, 60fps, possible mod support, all on my beefed-up rig. Also, one of the few games I have bothered to 100% platinum.

Hopefully a GOG version in the future? I guess all we can do is request it...

Huh. Wasn't expecting that. Already got it on PS3, but I'd grab it again on PC if it came out on GOG.

From a Ghostlight mod in response to questions about a GOG release:
"Just to answer those asking about PC platforms other than Steam, it is something we hope to do in the future, however it will be releasing on Steam to begin with."

So, it may take time like with XSEED, but it's possible. Feel free to leave a comment in support there as well if you're hankering for a GOG release.

Never say never.

Ever since I bought this game two years ago I always had the thought this game, this franchise, this publisher would never bring this to PC because "lol no market for it". But then, it actually happened.

Acquire's at least trying to get their games onto PC for Westerners. If it does well on Steam, I can hope the non-Japanese versions make their way to GOG. This will no doubt fare better than, say, Mind Zero.
