So does anyone around here actually play this game? It looks like it has a difficulty curve similar to the inverted wall that hangs up all the Ninja Warrior contestants. I must say, though, that I find the graphics preferable to Quake Live. The lack of pay-to-win is also refreshing.

I was interested in hearing if it was worth playing, too. Always up for an awesome shooter. Tribes Ascend is a bit too much grinding.

Well it's free so I guess we can just try it. It apparently runs on a modified Quake II engine.

EDIT: Main site says currently 74 players online. I guess you could call it a niche title :)

I tried Warsow for a while to get my Quake fix, but it didn't do it for me. The parkour aspect is fine, but it doesn't have that solid frag-fest feel that games like Quake and Unreal have. Most of the weapons feel weak, and while the game is fast, it lacks that kick.

I may go back to it later, see if someone's made a sound pack or something.
I played it a really long time ago on Linux. Didn't like it that much, haven't really followed it since. It definitely looks better than I remember... actually, it just looks different. I remember something similar to Tron, not similar to Team Fortress 2. I might be remembering a completely different game, it's been a really long day. Anyway, looks interesting, might check it out (after I get some sleep).
