I am doing a very shameless advertisement [once again] on my own Let's Play / AAR, but yet again I think Wars in America should please a significant part of the GOG crowd.

The AAR is there, and you may want to have a look as it is :
- A double AAR, my opponent doing also a "Let's Play" for his side
- Meant for Beginners - all game concepts are explained.

well - sorry for clogging up the forum if you are not interested :)
It had no success, but I just push this thread up to tell people the AAR is finished - one of hte player won the French & Indian War. You ll see who on the link.
What is "Wars in America"? A video game? Also, what is an aar? I went to those links and it looks like a bunch of replay summaries.
AAR = After Action Report = Let's Play in Wargamers vocabulary. Except here it is multiplayer, and both side are doing the AAR.

Wars in America is a excellent wargame on the conflicts in the America. Paradox Interactive offered it for free to all its members at some point.

Its particularity are that
a. it is turn by turn but with simultaneous resolution (like the recent Frozen Synapse, or like Laser Squad Nemesis).
b. Your commanders (leading your armies) have their own "personality" and don't always do what you want.
