I was waiting for EA batch number 2 to finish before I posted this. Since that's done, could someone at GOG please delete the Dungeon Keeper 2 entry from the top 10 on the wanted page, and I guess any other game that takes the number 10 spot if it's already been gotten?

I know it's not really a used feature, but I like to see what the top 10 wanted games are. The highest non-10 game I've seen so far is Thief 2, wonder what's above it.
The wanted board really needs.. a lot more cleanup than just that. >.>
GOG Staff:

I'd be MORE than happy to do this for you. You don't even need to pay me. I would combine duplicate listings, clean up spelling, remove games already released, etc. I'd even do it in a spreadsheet / raw data form that could be easily imported back into your site.

I'm being serious so feel free to contact me if this is possible.
@GOG staff

Admit the wanted list is obsolete and never looked at.

Agreed, but I figured a small doable request would be more likely to get resolved.

You would be awesome for doing that! The only bitch I can think of is the duplicates. To do that proper you would need access to everyone who voted for them so that you avoid listing their vote twice. Tedious, and possible a privacy issue, don't know.

Good point. There should be some ways to make it a bit more simple that I can imagine; however, it would still take quite a bit of time. That's probably why they are ignoring it / leaving it in the state it's in.

Maybe it would be easier to start from scratch? Just get rid of the previous wanted list, start a new one with the most standard requests pre-entered (like System Shock, Syndicate, X-COM, etc). It could even have a requirement that makes any new entries be accepted by a group of people that over see and check for duplicates / stupid items (like NES games).

That'd be a very good way of making the Wanted list relevant and useful once more. I'd be very happy with that, and I'd probably try and help with the queue moderation. :)

I'd email EnnyT or ... that other guy to let them know your plan. Maybe they can give you specific access to that section.

EDIT: The Cook of this ship! That's of whom I was thinking.

EDIT2: Also, if we could see the ones beneath the Top 10 list (like Top 100 or so), that'd be pretty cool too. :)

I submitted a Question with a link to this thread. We'll see what happens. :)
GOG is not going to waste their or anyone else's time on something they don't even care about anymore and don't really intend to keep using. Even before they removed all links to it from the main site, they only did basic maintenance like removing games that have been released on GOG, so I don't see them now dedicating any kind of time to fixing the problems it has had since it was implemented years ago.
