So, I'm getting back into Knights of the Old Republic, because it was on sale for three bucks on Steam. I remember that after you get your Jedi powers, wearing anything other than robes (maybe light armor?) prevents you from using said powers. Are there any mods which remove this restriction? I mean, it's a restriction that's very clearly retconned by what we see of the Clone Wars, with Obi-Wan and Anakin wearing armour and using Jedi powers at the same time.

I'm only interested in removing this particular restriction. Removing ALL the armour-based restrictions would be overkill, and make things too easy for me.

Chances are there probably are. But there's not any point really, considering the robes you can get in the mid to late game are pretty much better than all the other armor you can get if your dexterity is reasonably high.

These should work for you:
KotOR
KotOR II

Just ensure compatibility when using other mods.
Heh, had the same "problem" as I was playing it the first time round. But with a lightsaber you really don't need armor (blocks blaster shots) and for the melee combat you need dexterity and strength (and maybe constitution) first and foremost. Having jedi powers sure beats armor rating, but if you do need to mod, know that you'll be about 2% more efficient with your armor on.

Honestly? There's a point where I get sick of seeing robes. There's a certain aesthetic quality about some armour sets that override their functionality. In real life, sure I'd choose an ugly-ass flakjacket over something fashionable. But a game offers me the option to make up for less protection with things like instant heal items, or stat enhancing bionic implants.

@Thiev
Thanks.

You might want to look at the Jedi Master robes. They don't look like the regular robes and offer benefits equivalent to some of the armors without restricting force powers.
