So, I know there was thread about a year ago about these not working here.

Just wondering if maybe they work now? Anybody use one with success? If not, any way you can get one to work?

I know for sure there are some that will not work, like Wells Fargo's gift cards. Anybody know why that is exactly?

I have used both visa and mastercard giftcards, hell they're the only thing i can use to buy games at the moment.

I have very recently used a mastercard gift card I purchased at the local 7-11 to purchase games from GOG and it worked fine.

Be advised, you have to visit the card producers website and "activate it" on they're website in order to be able to make online purchases with the card. In addition to this, there is a delay policy whereby for the first hour from when you purchase the card, you cannot use the card (ie: it takes about 1 hour to activate from when you purchase it). This is to stop the stores that sell the cards from getting ripped off of cards that were "activated" but then taken out of the store prior to the person paying for it.

One further thing. These cards cannot be used to pay for subscription services online.

Aside from these 3 things, you should have no problem using these visa/mastercard gift cards online. I use these frequently, as I try to use my legitimate credit card online as infrequently as possible. It's only used for subscription services from reputable companies.

Can I use my Gift Card internationally?
No. The Gift Card can only be used in the United States.
