I know I'm late to this (first time logging on since June 29th), and I'm looking for some relief/information concerning this issue more than an immediate fix. I receive emails from GOG and I'm quite certain of the email I use to log into GOG, but it says it cannot be found. When I try to use an email address I initially used on this site, it seems to work fine, but I don't have the password (for the initial email OR the GOG account).

Is it possible that my email was changed back to the one I used to sign up for GOG? Is it possible to recover my account? I have information (such as order #'s from purchases, which show my username). Was this the issue that occurred in early July, or was that a separate issue only related to the name of an account? If the former, it would be great to hear from any users who have recovered their accounts. Thanks and good afternoon.

P.S. I hope this is resolved because I've already pre-ordered The Witcher 3 :(

You will either need to reset your password from the log in screen or to contact the GOG support team.
To reset your password you just enter the email address and then click on the reset password box at the bottom of the log in box.

or
http://www.gog.com/support/contact - then choose the third option down. Fill in the required information and await the help of GOG staff.
After an update there was a bug that changed some user names (added a number at the end)
but no one lost their accounts.
I'm afraid to think of it. You can't access your games without your account right?

I submitted the form over the weekend, and have not had a manual reply yet. I'm being patient with this, as it's totally perplexing. I tried to reset my password, but that's the issue: the email I use for GOG is no longer recognized.

I thought so. It seems strange that I receive emails but I can't login with the email I receive them at. I've checked the settings with this account and nothing seems to suggest that you can have your emails rerouted to a second email, so I'm fairly confident my current email is the one that's filed on GOG.com (especially as I have specifics like order #s and receipts).

Fortunately, the few games I have on my account (Planescape Torment, Baldur's Gate II) are downloaded on my computer, but as I said I've pre-ordered Witcher 3 which is my biggest issue (mostly due to the money paid, but I also wanted to play Neverwinter Nights and have all the bonuses).

Thanks for the replies. I just wanted to be assured that this was unrelated to the errors in early July. Now I'll just wait patiently.
