Wishlist wishlist wishlist yeah I know. Opinions?

And by being from 1999, you would guess it mentions the panic about the 2000 year? motherfucking millenium bug? of course it does, it's somehow even part of the story of the game. :)

I loved this game back in the day, while I kinda disliked GTA 3.

You play as a police officer, female. Imagine this: GTA meets Tomb Raider meets urban exploration = Urban Chaos. The game is not sandbox though, it is level based. And this is such a shame because it was restricted to the technology level of PlayStation 1, otherwise it could be a sandbox, a living city where you did all the side quests and main quests. Imagine a remake with today's technology and removing the nonsense cult missions, just look at the tech behind GTA 5. ;)

Anyway, let's discuss this game which deserved more praise, had lots of potential but IMHO this potential got lost because of the stupid ending and a few stupid missions, bugs, and a bit about the controls. Now that Square Enix is on GOG and has the rights to Eidos games, I would love having Urban Chaos released here. More people need to experience UC.

Vote for this underrated police simulator, well, kind of: http://www.gog.com/en/wishlist/games/urban_chaos

I don't have to imagine it because I used to have this game.
It was an interesting game, like all the Mucky Foot games I know.. which aren't many.

of course people who played it don't need to imagine, was just stating it for people who didn't played.

The developer only made 2 games, UC and Startopia, while Startopia has a lot more fans I guess.
I remember I first read some review in mag and later my cousin brought it to me to try it out. I had it only for weekend but I was blown away. I was thrilled how great the game is and what does it offer. It was back then and I think it aged a bit now, but I still would like to try it out.
Yes I remember it very well. Really liked it back then. Remember the very odd ending still.

Interestingly, sequel to it was done by Rocksteady

I first played UC because it came bundled in those CD+magazine combos... no regrets in buying that mag, made me discover this great game. :)

Very, very odd ending. And it's abrupt, I don't want to spoiler it, but it was abrupt and suddenly you are in the end mission/end of story. If they kept it a cleaner story and with double the number of missions, without that bullshit, it would be a great game.

I also noticed this, Rocksteady did the sequel. What is the connection between Mucky Foot and Rocksteady? A few of the devs went to work at Rocksteady or what?
I don't like it nearly as much as the Urban Chaos that the Batman: AA dudes made.
I still have it, great game, I remember at the time it had very fluid combat, great gfx.
Back in '99 I would never have thought of comparing Urban Chaos to GTA. At the time I thought GTA was a fancy Spy Hunter clone. ;)
I really enjoyed this game back in the day but am wondering whether it'll have aged well.

Also, I do recall it being rather sandbox-y as opposed to level based? Or has my memory just lapsed me? I played the PC version.
