I wish for a Panzer General for WWII naval warfare as well, badly.
How I wish Hearts of Iron had a selective (as in you select which battles u want to engage personally) turn-based battle you can jump into as you wished and it plays out like a standard battle in MOO2 or Panzer General.

tokisto: Well, it´s not strictly what you´re looking for, but maybe can fill this gap of naval turn-based games. it´s currently on promo in two different packs at gamersgate: Storm Over the Pacific. It´s a traditional WWII hex-based war game, but the focus are the battles on Pacific, so maybe it fits

Yeah... I´ve been growing my interest for turn-based games. I saw this promo half-hour ago and got excited. But looking further and reading reviews, they look pretty bad... Hoping for someday Panzer Corps will appear here on GOG

Yep. Panzer Corps has some sea levels (lawl) and the old Dai Senryaku also did, but they're always a minor part, unlike ground and air.

Will be great for a version that has the full-fledged Pacific naval battles. Carrier fleet vs Carrier fleet warfare like Midway, Coral Sea, Philippine Sea.

Uncharted water 2 had naval turn-based combat although there is no English version released on PC I think. 3 probably had turn based combat too but it only ran in 256 color, still no English version either.

There is. UW2's one of my favourite games of all time. It's not really just a naval game though, it's also an RPG, exploration, sandbox etc.
