Hello All

Came here looking for an old dos game I played in the 90's I will try and describe it and hope someone can figure out what game I am describing.

dos based pc game came on 3 1/2 inch disks that I purchased at Babbages. Sort of a story telling game. You are a researcher/archeologist maybe and you are interacting with a library computer that is going insane/dying. You slowly learn bits and pieces of the history of a long-dead society from the computer.

The screen had six or nine icons kind of divided into topics. The icons would flash when the computer had dug up some relevant information and when you clicked on it a new window would open with another bit of the story would be displayed in text.

You keep a journal and have to piece together parts of the story/history of the society and you have to sort out what is really the story and what is the ramblings of the dying computer.

Sorry that is all I can remember about it. I got about half way through the game and my disk drive broke and I never finished it. I always wanted to find it again and play it. Anybody have an idea of what game this might be?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds like a Cthulhu mythos game. Try here. Has a bunch of lovecraftian based games listed. Could it be one of those?
SHIT! i KNOW IT!
i HAD IT!

I just can't remember the name. :-(

If I recall your computer was called Homer.

Give me a second to dig it up.

Actually scratch that.

The author was trying to Kickstart (twice actually) a remake a couple of years go. Sadly it wasn't in the cards I guess.
