I only ever had this game on a demo disk from when i was very young, ( i was born in 89) this game was many in a series and the main character was a wizard with a bag that walked round with him. The game was a cartoon based point and click game.
The only scene I can remember was when the main character was in a morge with an old lady on a table, when you clicked on her she kicked a bucket.
Please help this is doing my head in ha.
Discworld perhaps? Google it.
Rincewind, a young apprentice mage, is the main character (vpiced by Terry Jones, I think, or at least someone from Monty Python), and Luggage, a chest with lots of little feet, is his inventory that constantly follows him around. The first two entries have a cartoonish look, while the third is Discworld Noir and features a different character and tone altogether. Based on the novels by Terry Pratchett.
yeah well done!
was searching for ages but only had slight memories to go on;
thanks!
Sod all chance of it getting a re-release though. Perfect 10 folded and the games belong to Sony (Psygnosis). As Pratchett is now involved with the TV movies and is suffering from Alzheimer's it's unlikely the games are anywhere near his mind at the moment.

Pterry owns the rights strangely due to some weird legal voodoo he lets sony carry on though god knows why.
Hahah, I got as far as wizard and walking bag and thought "that sounds like Rincwind and the luggage". Is the game any good?
the 3 discworld games are very good the first 2 can be run easily using dosbox or scummvm noir on the otherhand works great for some people and for others gives them nightmares to this day.

Gah! Forgive me! 'Tis a mental wound!
And yes, the Discworld games are good, but damn confusing. Never could play any without a walkthrough (OK, maybe the first half of Noir...)

Rincewind is neither young nor an apprentice. He is a full-fledged wizard who somehow managed to graduate despite not actually being able to work magic (there's a reason given in the books, though even after that's done with he still never gets around to learning any spells for some reason.)
Also, in Discworld 1 Idle only voices almost all of Rincewind's lines. Which makes it all the more jarring when Rincewind makes a comment in a completely different voice...

AlexY:

Easy to mix up as that other Python provided the voice for another cartoon point and click adventure called Blazing Dragons.
