I remember this game as a kid, and how much i loved it. But cant seem to find a copy or even find one online. Just wanted to ask if anyone would like it if GoG had it *wink wink* and would totally get it and also just talk about the game of course.
Yeah, that was quite a nice game. For the multiplayer, mostly, but the campaign, with the characters wearing different suits, was cool too.
And laser skiing is always fun !^^

It certainly wouldn't feel out of place here, even more so if we get its predecessor too.

Among the 3 of them, Tribes 2 was the best.
Vengeance was not bad, but was the death of the Tribes.

@Narushima: Yes, and would there be a place were we can bug gog for mouths to get that game on here till they finally cave in and say "FINE where putting it in! god!".

Here is Tribes 2, free and still working servers, just need to download the game and the patch :]

Well it's not that simple. Gog has to find who owns what first, and then try to convince the owner(s) to sign the contract.
But I don't think Tribes is one of their priority.

Well right now VU games(publisher) murged with Activision in 2005. So they would need to talk to them about it, and hopfully get it easily :P. And also where is it that i can vote Tribes up to get closer to the top! :O

There
I played Tribes, Tribes 2, and Tribes: vengeance, but without question, for me, Tribes 2 was the best.

I played it until the end was very close and had great fun with lots of people over the years.

It was a crazy place with 30 players on each team and all trying to kill you for the simply joy of taking their flag for a short walk! :o)

Vengeance, did kill Tribes, as it "fixed" what was not broken in the game and made it like Unreal.

I have yet to find another FPS with the charm, fun, and Z Axis of Tribes. Skiing was always fun, as well as piloting a load of heavies to an unsuspecting base. :o)

For me, Tribes holds my absolute greatest joy in gaming, day after day, after day.
I found Vengeance the best of the series for one reason only: Campaign. It had engaging story, plenty of variability and was incredibly fast-paced. I have not enjoyed any other Tribes game for I was instantly eliminated upon connection, pretty much. Also, no story is a bad thing in my book

"Campaigns" of the 1 and 2 were just tutorials to learn the basics of multiplaying.
If you want a solo game, yes Vengeance is better.

I never was eliminated upon connection. Maybe your connection is bad? or you didn't know how to configure the game connections.

No I just found out about Tribes when it was quite niché and sucked badly
I played this game a lot in the past. I would love to play it again. Hope GOG will release it in 2011.
