I know the Steam terms of Service strictly prohibits selling or trading you Steam account. What are some thoughts or opinions on this matter?

i dont have an issue with it but if steam find out they would likely close it

Don't get cought ;-).

I've "loaned" (lend/lended?) mine a couple of times to friends. Usually when I was out of the country and couldn't access it anyway. I don't feel particular loyal to Steam or Valve, therefore I wouldn't have a problem with it. But I wouldn't buy one, as the hassle of switching two (or maybe even several) would just be too big.

And when it comes to selling it, well, let's say I take the Charlton Heston option ...

Remember kids: Steam Guard may be your friend, but it doesn't like letting your other friends play. So tell it to fuck off first.
