Like this [urel=www.example.com]'text to show in hyperlink like "example link"'[/url]

Remove the e in the beginning next to the ur and l and you're set.

You are not alone. Took me some time to figure it out. In fact I learned it by editing one of my old post and putting urls into them. :-)

Sometimes I highlight a link I typed in on the post box and click url and it adds the tags correctly....of course it adds the hyperlink as a default copy of the url and not a custom word or title. that you have to change yourself.

Well, I could boast I figured this thing too, but in fact I read this on another forum some time ago and then just tested it here.
This information is also in the FAQ, which noone ever bothers to read, because the link to it is inside a sticky thread named "Welcome, please read!", and who'd want to read something as silly as that?

Yep........but honestly, it's like that for 70% of the forums online right?

Actually, the FAQ is probably about 75% inaccurate now and I cannot make any changes to it since GOG implemented the post size limit (the FAQ is already bigger than the post limit). We probably shouldn't be pointing people to it it anymore. I am going to produce a new FAQ post soon, I just need to figure out the best way to get around the post limit without making a mess of whatever thread I put it in (I already have a pretty good idea of how to do that).

The only things in it I see that are inaccurate are the bits about support response times and nested quotes. The rest seems as accurate as ever.
