From the makers of the much loved and truly awesome, free Gravity Bone comes the sequel:Thirty Flights of Loving!

"What's it like?" "Is it any good?" "I hope it's longer than the first one!" I hear you cry! And the answer? Uh... I don't know. I was hoping that one of you would just go ahead and buy it and tell me how good it is actually.
maker, not makers IIRC. :p

I'd like opinions too. It's from the same dev as Atom Zombie Smasher, which I like very much.
Apparently it's a truly gobsmacking game that's... 15 minutes long. I know it's not the most expensive game in the world. But that does make it's price tag look kind of high all the same.

Yeah cool game but, but 15 minutes for $5... I'll wait for it in an indie bundle, thanks.
Gravity Bone is great, and should be played by everyone since it is free from the dev website (just click the game name).

This sequel looks interesting, but it will have to be longer than 20 minutes if I am going to shell out cash for it.
Gravity Bone is pretty good ! It's very short, but it's free.
Runs fine with wine. But it needed a little work for it to boot fullscreen and in the correct resolution, at least that was the case for me.

It ran fine with Amarula for me, but strangely it opens as two windows for me, and Win7 did kept the focus in both windows instead of one.

I put some custom commands I found on their forums. It worked for me. But I'm not too sure what I did, since I was very tired and sleep deprived at the time. lol

The commands were : +set r_mode -1 +set r_fullscreen 1 +set r_customwidth 1280 +set r_customheight 800

Still had to put the game manually in fullscreen with the menu. Also, I can't seem to be able to make my gamepad work with it, even after enabling it in-game and downloading the xbox gamepad drivers in the "winebottle".

I bought 13 Flights of Loving because I liked Gravity Bone. It comes with Gravity Bone packaged into the install by the way, if that makes a difference to anyone.

Thirteen Flights of Loving will not even take you 13 minutes to beat. I have beat the game a few times now, including with the developer commentary.

I wouldn't recommend you buy this game because it's so short, but you should definitely play it if you get the chance. I've often wondered why videogames don't use cuts and edits to shorten their duration. Instead, we have games like Mafia, that will actually make you wait in traffic while a bridge raises for a passing boat because "realism" or something.

This game makes lots of quick cuts while you are moving around, and while that is a tad bit disorienting, it gives the story some excellent pacing. This is a nice demonstration of what videogames should be doing more of in their story telling: utilizing cuts, establishing story through environment, building characters without dialogue. It's kind of brilliant, but too short to really make a difference. I also don't think it does anything too revolutionary, it just makes you wonder why nobody else has done it before
