The purpose of this thread is for everyone interested is for people who wish to play The Witcher Adventure Game (Beta) to have a way to meet up with other players who are interested in playing the game, to help them to organize and plan both public and private matches, and to let them know of matches others are planning proactively to increase the success rate of getting matches up and running instead of blindly starting a matchmaking session and staring at the lobby screen for a half hour hoping someone joins, or alt-tabbing out of a game lobby in the background after waiting too long and missing out on people when they do show up. With a little public planning in advance, everyone's matchmaking could be better.
Another thing to note in case anyone wonders, is that this is intentionally posted this in the General Discussion forums rather than the game specific forums as the intention is to opportunistically notify and attract people who own the beta game but were not explicitly seeking out a game at the time they stumble upon the thread in the forums.
People interested in being invited to upcoming games:
Those who would like to be explicitly invited to games can post a reply in the thread below to be included in the lists I will maintain below, using the form:
INTERESTED: PUBLIC
INTERESTED: PRIVATE
INTERESTED: PUBLIC, PRIVATE
Please use bold uppercase in the exact syntax above to make it easier to see clearly. I will add people's names to the lists they have requested over time. If someone has previously asked to be on the list and wants to be removed, simply make a new post with:
INTERESTED: REMOVEME
I'll see how this goes and may change things based on how it works out in practice as well as feedback from others.

Match planning:
If you would like to announce a public or private match here, please use the following as examples:
MATCH: PUBLIC
TIME: now
TIME: nn minutes from now
MATCH: PRIVATE
TIME: now
TIME: nn minutes from now
Optionally include the game name as follows, or if it is missing make sure you have private messaging enabled so people can contact you via PM to get the name of the game, and pay attention to your private messages while waiting.
NAME: <game name>
(using relative minutes rather than wall clock time avoids timezone and DST related issues/confusion)
If someone wishes to join a public game someone has announced, simply fire up the game at the time specified and hopefully you will be able to pop into that game or some other game that happens to be running at the time specified. If you are unable to connect or the game is filled already, feel free to post your own game announcement here as well.
If someone wishes to join a private game, type it into the game name field for Private games if the name was supplied, or send the game organizer a private message to request the game name.
Additional info/thoughts:
This is a bit of an experiment to try to help make it easier to help people get games up and running without having to wait for a long time after joining or creating a game lobby, and also to aide people in actually starting games with friends or people who are familiar faces. Yes, it is kind of funny and ironic that this is essentially a forum based matchmaking service for an in-game matchmaking service. ;oP Hopefully the game and GOG Galaxy will progress in the features and flexibility of its built in matchmaking capabilities to make external organization of matches completely unnecessary and this thread can become a historical artifact sooner than later. ;o)
