I have two keys to give away...

After sitting for ~10 minutes with no one joining my public game I figured we need more players...

So say hi if you want one ;)

Hi! I do not need one, but i stopped by to greet, regardless! You must be unlucky, or log in during dead hours... From morning till early afternoon, people are really scarce to come by. But afternoon, night, midnight and onwards, there are many! Enough for getting full games with 4 characters excessively!

I also gave away mine. Besides, that was the entire point all along, in giving people 2 keys at the same time, in one go! Hope to see you in soon! Have fun!

I managed to end up with four keys...

Preorder plus entered my email in the lucky draw before I decided to preorder...

Playing two people with my wife but yes I guess I'm unlucky on timing the public games then ;)
Hi. I would like a key. Always liked board games and was interested in this one when I saw Fantasy Flight Games was publishing the physical version.
When I started this game, I ended up reading a bunch of instructions in the tutorial. I didn't get a lot of it, since I've never played adventure card games. Then the game encouraged me to interact with other strangers. Just one question: Can I play versus other people just so others don't get pissed off from me not knowing squat and actually enjoy killing a newbie, or do I have to make other players suffer through my ignorance in co-op?

Apologies for taking your thread to ask this, but it'll bump it and i didn't think this question deserved a whole thread.

You compete with others by receiving as many points from quests as possible. They can make your path harder by casting enemies in your region during their events but they can't directly challenge you.

Basically, the first one reaching goal chased by everybody (complete 1/3/5 main quests) + amount of collected points wins.
It is pretty easy. You have to collect leads, and collect enough to turn them into proofs, which is the "currency" for completing quests. Points awarded for completing quests play a big role into winning. But the most important factor is finishing your main quest first, before the others. And if there is a 3 or 5 quests limit to your game, that means you have to fly through them as fast as possible. BEFORE THE OTHERS.

This can get tricky. All 4 players have different rates of how many proofs they can turn into 1 lead. So try to choose quests that generally have *this* color of leads, that the proof which is composed by them do not require your player to gather too many of them...

Also, you have to be strategic, especially with battles. Before fighting, if you have the option, check what you win and/or what you loose if you fail your dice rolls for attack and defense, and fight that battle only if it suits your interests at all... Try to visit areas that produce *this* color of lead that you need, and use investigation to choose the color of the lead that you want an attempt at getting extra. Sometimes it is an entire sub quest that gives said lead as reward, sometimes a battle, others instant win or dice roll for chance at. Rest when you are wounded, and use fast travel ONLY if you really need it (it can get tricky to use at the right time). Use rest to remove wounds only when you really need to perform an action that they have temporarily stopped from working. And just remember to have one or two spare developments handy, just in case your battle dice rolls are *too* ugly.

Only problem is those disconnects, but it is not something too bugging. They happen only once in a while, and to be honest, i was expecting it to be far more worse, but it isn't. The game is catching, interesting and entertaining, and i liked chatting with others. My only nuisance is that i cannot add friends through the service (galaxy?). But maybe in the launch this will be possible. Still beta and all...
Hi jimbob0i0,
I'd like a beta key if it's still up for grabs. Since we're both almost in the same time zone it shouldn't be too hard to arrange a gaming session ;)

Thanks

From my experience the players of the game are very friendly and helpful. The first time I've played I had no idea what to do as well and the other player completely explained me the basic rules. And it was the same in the next games as well. If there was a newbie, the other players were always willing to help and gave a lot of hints how to complete the quests.

So feel free to ask while playing, I'm very sure the other players won't be annoyed.
Cool, thanks for the replies, I´m gonna give it a whirl this evening.
