A brief word of explanation why GOG isn't offering a Polish-localized version of The Witcher 2.

First off, GOG does not, itself, localize our titles. When they're available in only English, we release them in that language, and when they're available in other languages, we're certainly happy to release them in the languages that we can. The Digital Premium edition of The Witcher 2 is localized in English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German. That's the offer from CD Projekt RED available for all digital platforms including GOG.com. GOG's largest markets speak one of these languages, which fits nicely with our needs.

Secondly, it comes down to money. Specifically, which currencies GOG accepts. In the past, GOG has always only accepted the dollar. Due to some legal requirements, in order to offer TW2 to everyone around the world, we needed to offer pricing in some other currencies, so with the preorder, we will be accepting euros and pounds sterling, which are the currencies of our main markets.

Finally, anyone who's interested in purchasing the Polish version can do so at gram.pl or many online sites and the retail offering in Poland is really great. The Polish retail version of The Witcher 2 will also be DRM-free, so if you're worried about DRM crippling your software, you can rest assured that you will get the same great experience from Polish Premium Edition retail copies that you will get from GOG's Digital Premium edition.

We're sorry if this is an inconvenience for you. We hope that any of GOG's Polish customers who want a Polish-native localization of the game will buy the game at any of CD Projekt's retail partners and enjoy the heck out of it. Hope that answers your questions.
