Together with Pete Davison we're looking into the story of The Beast Within and answer some questions that you might have about the game.
To say that The Beast Within was “eagerly anticipated” would be something of an understatement. After the glowing critical reception of [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/gabriel_knight_sins_of_the_fathers]Sins of the Fathers, the first Gabriel Knight game, the pressure was on Jane Jensen and her team to match, if not better, the compelling story and endearing characters of the original game. So when Sierra revealed that Gabriel Knight’s 1995 second outing was to be a full-motion video “interactive movie” similar to Phantasmagoria, enthusiasts of the first game were somewhat wary.
I always wondered how the game would looks like. If you are interested, you can check the website of one of the developpers (Matthias Worch, who also worked on Doom, Quake, Sin, Unreal...). There's a big section about The Wheel Of Time :)
I'd probably buy it, I remember playing the demo when it came it out. Also love the books though I haven't read them all yet.
I would definately buy it :)
Loved the books although i havent finnished them either.
Only have 1-9 here so i even miss a bunch.
Maybe when my Computer breaks down some Day, i get to finnish them. ;)
I picked up a copy years ago from the bargain bin out of curiosity's sake, but I never actually got around to playing it. I might need to dig it out and see.
Other than the ter'angreal, is there any way to use the One Power or is it just via those?

Just the Ter'angreal. Probably because they felt the need to limit the effects that can be produced with using the One Power would have a LOT more things than just those listed.
As an incidental all the ter'angreal have a passage from the book to show where the got them from :)

would love to see a gog release of this game, this an myth 2 are what got me in to online gaming. WOT is hands down the most complex and exiting FPS ever. It is such a shame that it was poorly advertised and released together with well known titles. Thus never attracting the following it deserved. That said it had an incredible retention rate, most people stayed playing it for years
Ah, the Wheel of Time game.

What a great title! I love it when played it years ago.

/nostalgic mode off.

It would be AWESOME to end up in GOG :D
