Hi,
As the title says, I would like to know, till when is the sale going to last? I'm confused coz on the top it says "only 21 days left" and then below it, it says "Atari catalogue sale ends in 6 days" and "Activision catalogue sale starts in 3 days".

I'm planning on buying either Divine Divinity or Beyond Divinity. Since its a Larian studios game and neither Atari or Activision, till when is it on sale?

Also, I use Windows 7. Either of these games work on Windows 7? Also, which one of those should I buy and which of those should I pick as the free game along with Witcher 2? (I know it doesn't really matter coz both are priced the same)

Thanks.
First things first, welcome to gog.com :).

The sale ends on January 3rd.

I believe it should last until the end of the sale. Im not 100% sure though.

They both work on Windows 7. On the page of the game, you can see wether or not a game is compatible with your OS. Check my attachment below to see what I mean.

As for which game you should choose for free and which game you should buy, your kinda on your own there haha. I don't own any of those games so im not entirely sure what to say.

Good luck and happy Gog'ing.

Seriously ? You answer your own question in the paragraph above that...
On the subject of which game to buy and which to get for "free" with the Witcher 2 pre-order. Like you said, it doesn't really matter. If you are going to buy one first and pre-order sometime in the future get Divine Divinity first since it is the first game (and apparently better, I've only played DD, not Beyond Divinity). I loved playing DD though, so hopefully you'll enjoy it as well.

DD and BD are not connected.

DD has larger world, but the final location is very bad, it's boring and silly, and there's nothing, but slashing enemies.

BD has smaller world, but I liked the quests much more. Although the beginning (citadel) could be better.

After all, I'd say that BD is slighlty better than DD (really, the final location ruins it all).

Wait... they aren't? I know that BD isn't a direct sequel to DD but I thought it was at least set in the same world. Wasn't BD the between game before the sequel came out? That is what I remember when I was active on the Larian Studios forums about DD, back in the day (hah, I feel old).

Also, to rebut your point about the last section of DD: Yes, it was horrible and rushed and didn't feel like the same game I thought it wasn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. Obviously the rest of the game spoiled the last bit, since everything up to that point is logical and pretty much makes sense and is really cool and then it sort of goes to hell. BUT I don't think that it ruined the game! The rest of the game was so good! I guess it is similar to Malachor V in SW:KOTOR:TSL (if the OP, or you) played that - the last section really was rushed and not the same level of game play or story, but that didn't ruin the whole game for me.

BD and DD are connected. They're supposed to take place in the same universe, and the hero of BD is the disciple of the one in DD.

Frankly, I liked the first game much more than its sequel and judging from reviews and other stuff, I'm in the majority.
BD felt rushed, the concept of playing two characters was interesting but very badly implemented, and the beginning of the game was way too hard. I know quite a few people who never got past the first dungeon because of that.

About the end of DD, what exactly did you expect? Despite the fact that it actually has lots of interesting optional quests, the game is still very much a hack&slash.
It's obvious that it would end with a big emphasis on combat.
As for the silliness, that's actually one of the qualities of DD: it just doesn't take itself too seriously.

Frankly, imho, the fact that Divinity 2 is a direct sequel to DD and makes BD non-canon says it all about how much each game is liked.
Well, first of all, when I wrote they are not connected I meant that storylines of both games are not connected. You can play BD without playing DD, or you can play in reverse order.

And it's not even 100% true they are set in the same world - BD is about two our heroes trying to go back to the world of DD.

Majority also likes pop music. Does it mean it's better than classical?

To be honest, in these days games are too easy, so this is not a flaw. I didn't like the first part because it was too long for an escape.

My impression was that someone took a lot of time to create very good game just to find out he has just 24 hours left to finish last location. It's so bad and boring I would rather have it out of the game. DD would be better without the final location.

I expected it to be similar to BDs final location - some quest with hard enemies. Instead I got no quest with a lot of easy enemies.

Frankly, imho, the fact that Divinity 2 is a direct sequel to DD and makes BD non-canon says it all about how much each game is liked.
I won't argue, but that doesn't state DD is better, it just lets them to make more money out of it.

Thanks for the info. I might end up buying one of those 2 games.
