Crassmaster: And we have a new contender for 'Biggest douchebag on the Internet'.
Just a contender? Today he is the winner for sure.
Perspective? exaggeration? Not likely..nothing I've said will be taken by anyone seriously, like yourself so there no need to be a condescending dick to everyone you reply to because that's what im seeing so far.

You a EA fan?

I'm a fan of people not running around like Chicken Little, insisting the sky is falling. I'm a fan of people avoiding gross exaggeration and ridiculous comparisons. And yeah, I'm a fan of some of the games they've put out.

Crassmaster: Oh look, that actually isn't what was said at all. The original article writer felt like making up a bunch of bullshit, and every other hack online followed in line because they can't be bothered to actually research anything.

Oh, that's exactly what she said. She only said it in PR bullshit language. If you translate that into plain english you get "Dead Space 1&2 were too scary".

Not really. You get "they were plenty scary. People like the new one, but they lied playing it co-op." Nowhere is it said that any of them were or are too scary. And it's entirely possible people DO prefer playing it co-op, I have no idea since I (obviously) haven't played it.
So, PA wrote a whole essay on making horror more comfortable and more scary at the same time. Good damage control, guys. Yes, I can forsee EA giving PAX more love.

Maybe they're right. Just imagine the sheer horror of somebody asking you in chat "have you seen that new movie?" during an epic horrifying cutscene. Well, a cutscene. DS hasn't exactly been Alone in the Dark 1 in terms of creepy, with most enemies serving as dismemberment dummies. And the cutter ranking with System Shock 2's assault rifle in terms of "fuck the thrill of being underpowered, I'm killing the shit right now", that too.

You realize PAX doesn't "need" money, or they sure as fuck wouldn't be charging 65 bucks for a 3 day pass. The last work conference I attended cost 2200 for the week. EA shows up at PAX because it's good for EA and EA, contrary to popular belief, actually fucking likes its fans, not because they're doing PA some kind of favor. You look at who doesn't give a shit about PAX and barely shows up at all and you have a who's who list of devs/pubs that manage to be even bigger douchebags than Ubisoft can manage on a bad day.
My respect meter hits high for those that show at PAX and i pay more attention to what i see there... on a side note some events i go to ate 100+ and some seminars that last 1-2 days are 1k+ so PAX is dead on great for the amount of swag you get for $65 and for 3 days, cant beat it!
