deejrandom: I saw the logo and thought the site was shutting down...again.
Funny, I thought the exact same thing.

Maybe it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy in a way.

phaolo: Not really a main issue, but.. I preferred the green GOG logo too : (

Is the GOGbear still colored or in B&W now ? Lol
GOGbear is still in color. :)
What did color ever do to gog? Must have been something bad.
This site has reached so much grayness that I'm tempted to watch MyLittlePony to restore my colored sight ..
Wait.. it's a Trap! XD

I don't think we're on Oz any more...
It's a perfect metaphor for GOG. The bright, happy colors, representing GOG trying to be different from the herd, have given way to the dull grey of a company that's resigned to playing "follow the leader".
The new logo takes up more vertical space, which wastes screen real estate. I prefer the thinner longer logo.

And while the logo literally says "gog com", it doesn't convey "gog.com" due to the lack of color.

in all fairness the header logo is actually translucent.

It's really cool, I just wish they'd make better use of it

My thoughts exactly. It really looks like the little kid from back then with the good old (colorful) games of the 90's finally grew up and entered the world of adult greyness.

Makes me kinda sad, too.
Has the top bar grown bigger to accommodate the new logo? Someone out there on a puny little 1024x576 netbook is sad for their screen real estate.

Also, the logo should really turn green and yellow on mouse hover.

groundhog42: Got to agree - the new logo is the epitome of cold, impersonal, soulless, corporate blandness. It just makes everything look so dull and dreary. I know it's not the most important thing in the world, but please bring back the green and gold logo!
This x1000000. I'm all for change and like the idea of GOG movies (and who knows in the future maybe music?), BUT... the lack of color I don't like. The nice green and gold color scheme was much better aesthetically.

Now I understand that expanding the brand means changing the window dressing, but the new look is completely devoid of any warmth and the sense of fun the previous one had.

I love it, the fact that it's transparent is even better when you scroll.
