stg83: I certainly meant in terms of mood and themes as well, a few more examples are Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell, Gungrave, Black Lagoon, Hellsing Ultimate and Darker then Black as the sort of animes I was referring to. Twelve Kingdoms is definitely another one on my to watch list and I know its really great. Regarding Thundercats it is unfortunately too late and we all know those "bring it back" online petitions never make any difference.
Hell yeah! You're my kind of anime fan. I'd put all of those with the exception of Full Metal Alchemist, in my top 5 animes. I'd put Baccano! in place of FMA.

All excellent shows, and as LiquidOxygen80 suggests, Baccano! is also rather good.

Baccano! is certainly on my list of shows to watch LiquidOxygen80 so thanks for reminding me of it again. I just really liked FMA because the core story of the series really resonated with me. :)

I kinda agree with this. Weekends kids have more time to watch shows as well as most of us adults.
