Just wait until you make that first landing, or that first orbital rendezvous and docking...the sense of accomplishment when you achieve these, and all the other, little milestones in this game is incredible.
A question: Can you put any of those, uhh, what-are-they-called, propulsion things that make things move with fire horizontally? I find the idea of a rocket that has some propulsion up and a few ones that just make it spin like crazy hilarious and want someone to do it if possible. Live my dream :D
You can place them any way you wish and spin your poor Kerbals to your hearts content.

Or, if you're far smarter than me, like this fellow, you can even take bits of wing with rockets at the tips and make a semi-functional helicopter.

Now this quote truly embodies the spirit of Kerbal engineering :-D

I must say, this is my favourite game at this time. And the modding community is amazing.
Now if only I could get that shuttle to rendezvous with the orbital station...

There was an interview with someone from NASA in Macleans (Canada's largest magazine... like Time, that sort of thing) where they said that everyone at NASA was obsessed with this game. Apparently they've been designing ships with Mars as the goal. I can't imagine a larger endorsement for a space agency and rocket simulator, so I bought it just now and am just about to give it a shot.
This game just bulldozed its way into my top5 of all time! Its unbelievingprepostorously awesome!! and its only in alpha!! Just landed for the third time on Mun and almost didn't make it back - thankfully I remembered Kepler's Laws and got myself back to Kerbin with a whopping 300 Research.

I cant recall the last time a game gave me this much gratification : putting my lander down successfully on the nearest moon for the first time, AND coming back.

Its times like these that I miss my gaming rig - my laptop is suffering a bit with the physics...
Precendent schmecendent... Allowing Kerbal on GOG.com would be glorious! Maybe allow just this one unfinished/alpha game?

It's a shame really. There is a risk of lawsuits, and a need for some framework to deal with unfinished games. And it's a shame because:

a) even in Aplha, KSP is more feature rich and playable than some finished games
b) KSP is not priced so low as to lead to impulse buying before realising it's an Alpha game
c) no one has yet admitted regret after buying the game

And to anwser a question asked many moons ago, Steam will not allow you to throw money at them/publishers/devs by buying the same game multiple times. So for that reason GOG must include KSP in it's catalogue. To give people another store in which to purchase it.
I regret buying it. I bought a long time ago, right before update 15 I think. I played the crap out of it and really enjoyed it.

Now, they've added all these cool new features, and I'm having a hard time getting back into it.

KSP is the game that taught me to avoid early access.
