Hi ddickinson, I hope you don't mind my barging into your giveaway like a bull in a china shop but I had to share an Italian tidbit of my own :)
While I don't know much about Italy the country, I do know that there is a thriving retro gaming/translation community called OldGames Italia that is quite dedicated to their craft. They are so dedicated that their Italian translation of The Cat Lady has been made official and is now being sold in the Italian Zodiac store. Another point towards their dedication would be their fixing of the apparently broken official Italian translation (apparently the original publisher had somehow introduced some bugs, what they are I am not 100% sure). Yes, they reworked that translation and now anyone who is fluent in Italian can enjoy the game in their native language bug-free :)
Not only do they translate the games but they also translate the materials that came with the games such as manuals and I believe they even translated some of Ultima VII's maps. Take a look at this list of their finished translations:http://www.oldgamesitalia.net/traduzioni(for those of us who can't read Italian "Traduzione pubblicata" means translation finished :)
They also do reviews of old and new games :)
