SirPrimalform: I was asking for personal opinions really, but thanks all the same guys.
Alright, got around to playing the first two chapters tonight.
It's good, but unremarkable. It honestly doesn't feel all that different from other single-mechanic puzzlers out there. Graphic style is pretty, sure, there also appears to be somekind of story being told in the form of a single paragraph of text after each chapter, though I doubt it will be a big a part of the overall experience.
The puzzles are interesting enough, but at least so far I haven't seen any that was particularly challenging or that inspired any big "Eureka!" moments. Granted I'm just two chapters in, it's quite possible the puzzles will become more interesting as it progresses.
I should also point out that the M. C. Escher-esque worlds are for the most part just backgrounds. I played 10 rooms and I think only three or so actually had the architecture affect the puzzle solutions.
Let me clarify that I did like the game and intend to play it all the way through, but I'm a sucker for this type of game and probably have gone through all the others in the genre, so it's only natural I'd play this one as well.
If you haven't played all the others though, maybe you should start with another game first? Have you played Closure? It's in the same vein, cheaper, and I found it's single-mechanic a bit more interesting than this one.
EDIT: Forgot to say, the second chapter introduced a gravitational vortex, knowing that a reverse gravity mechanic is to come afterwards, makes ne think the game should keep introducing new elements to avoid getting boring.
