Looking at the Interplay catalog on this site, it's hard to believe that at one time Interplay published some all-time classic games, and put out lots of other solid titles; now, they're little more than an office with a phone on the desk.
Too bad they were done in by corporate mis-management, low sales numbers, and shoddy treatment of developers.

Yeah, the news are that they are on the mend and have started development on sequels for Descent, MDK, Earthworm Jim, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, and even a Fallout MMO. Heck, for all we know, us buying their games at GOG is probably what they're using to finance these new games. That and the sale of the non-MMO part of the Fallout franchise to Bethesda.

They sold Dark Alliance recently back to Atari, to settle some of their debts.
And they actually sold the entire Fallout franchise to Bethesda, they are conditionally licensing the IP from them for an MMO.
I wouldn't really get my hopes up about Interplay yet, especially with some of the shady dealings going on in the background.
Semi-off topic, but i do hope that the new "Dark Alliance" game(s) will be great. I loved the old ones on the original Xbox.
Interplay's website is back with a vengeance. Have they changed their evil ways, and will they be able to regain their lost glory? Only time will tell.
I wish interplay all the best in the relaunch. They published some of the best rpgs ever it was just a shame they ended up with so much problems. Glad to see them back but even happier we can buy their old games here :)
i wish they'd release dragon wars..
Stonekeep 2 !?!
Interplay sold the rights to the Fallout franchise (not the MMO) to Bethesda for Millions of dollars

they are still around and still releasing games, I guess

I hope they can publish new big titles in the future and restore themselves to their Glory days

very nice to have them here on GoG :)

I know Fallout is their big legacy series, but my favorite game of theirs will always be MDK 2. I just had the PS2 version of it back when it came out and I loved that game to death. If I had a PC controller (getting a wired 360 one next week I hope, why they quit selling the adapter for the wireless ones, I'll never know) I'd get it in a heartbeat from here.
At risk of sounding like a broken record :

AH WANTS MAH STARFLEET COMMAND from INTERPLAYz on Gog!!!
AH WANTS IT! AH WANTS IT! AHHH WAAAAANTS EEEEEET!!!!

:P

No can do. The 'glory days' company is utterly dead. What you're looking at now is a trading name and nothing more. All the developers that made the company what it was have long since departed.

The management was kicked out (hence the inspiration behind the name of Inxile Entertainment) and replaced with the guy responsible for publishing some of the worst games ever made. A catalogue that never saw a decent title.
