Barnell: Rampage made the same mistake. My buddy and I managed to complete Rampage after hours of playing.

adambiser: I never knew Rampage had an ending. :)
But yes, repetition can make a good game bad. "I Was An Atomic Mutant!", despite how perfect it is on so many levels for what it's trying to be, suffered from it.
The one on Nintendo did once you turned all the states black
Alone in the Dark 5.
HEY it's one of my favorite games of all time.and the combat never got boring

Barnell: I just remember one more game Legend of Legaia. The game has a lot of potential but the fighting got so repetitive and boring.

Snickersnack: Shogo: Mobile Armor Division

The mechanics are truly awful. Critical hits in an FPS pretty much ensure that whoever starts firing first wins the encounter. This game was developed simultaneously with Blood 2 and it shows.

It has a ton of personality though. I can't get mad it. Shogo just makes me smile for some dumb reason.
I got sucked in by Shogo too. I keep looking at it on GOG, KNOWING that it was buggy and frustrating and used to drive me crazy when I owned the box version, back when it was new...and I'm still tempted to buy it.

I sometimes believe I just might be a gamer masochist. :(
